Safaricom has introduced a new promotion that will see customers enjoy 500 MB of data in a day.
Dubbed ‘Browse Bila Waas’, the campaign serves both prepay and Postpay customers. The bonus bundle complements Non-expiry bundles, which means you will need to purchase the latter first.
The way it works is really simple:
Dial *544# and choose option 0.
You will then be prompted to purchase non-expiry bundles, and the 500 MBs will come in as bonus automatically.
In my case, the amount appears to be 475 MB at KES 95, hence I can receive a total of 975 MB for use.
Since it expires at midnight, I believe the bonus data will be consumed first before rolling over to the no-expiry items.
The campaign will run for the next couple of months before elapsing on November 19, 2020.
Safaricom says the development will be handy for customers with 4G handsets. The carrier sells such phones at a dirty-cheap KES 20 per day in a program called Lipa Mdogo Mdogo.
