vivo, the Chinese phone maker under the BBK Electronics umbrella (alongside the likes of OPPO, OnePlus) has been in the Kenya market for a couple of months now. The company is competing with other phone makers from China to make a name for itself in the growing market.
It has since launched a couple of devices, the most expensive being the KES 41K vivo V19. However, as is the case with other manufacturers, the juice is in the entry- and mid-level space. It is this segment that attracts the most attention because Kenya is a growing economy, and the majority of people cannot afford flagships that are usually priced higher.
The vivo Y20, which was announced just last month, will be launching in Kenya on October 8. The device has all the bells and whistles of a midranger – although vivo Kenya has not mentioned how much it will cost.
