The last time that Huawei Kenya brought a phone to Kenya was in late 2020.
However, that changed a couple of days ago, after Huawei announced that it would be launching the nova Y60 for locals.
This was a long absence, but as we explained, the development had its reasons, and the majority of them have not been resolved because the Chinese tech corporations is still involved in a battle with the US and American companies that have made it challenging for it to actively take part in the lucrative smartphone-selling space.
Nevertheless, the day is here, and the nova Y60 can be purchased for KES 23000.

This is a Huawei phone, so it does not ship with Google Play services. However, AppGallery has been installed, and from time to time, it keeps receiving some major titles, although it is far from being as robust as Google Play.
While Huawei Kenya has not mentioned the software running on the nova Y60, we believe it is Android 10 and EMUI, meaning HarmonyOS is not here, yet.
Nevertheless, Huawei has been updating many of its phones to its in-house mobile OS, so it is likely that the nova Y60 will receive the HarmonyOS treatment in the future.
