itel has officially launched the itel A58 in the country. This is the company’s latest budget smartphone. The itel A58 succeeds the itel A56 that was launched in early 2020.
itel A58 ships with a 6.6″ waterdrop screen with a 720p resolution(1612*720) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The dewdrop notch houses the selfie camera.
This is an upgrade over the itel A56 that featured a 6″ screen with 480p resolution(960*480).
Under its hood, the itel A58 comes with a 1.3GHz Quad-core UNISOC SC7731IE CPU paired with a Mali T820 MP1 GPU. Alongside the processor, the itel A58 ships with 1GB of RAM AND 16GB of onboard storage.
It’s worth noting that itel A58 comes with a dedicated microSD card to allow for expandable storage up to 64GB.
Android 11(Go Edition) runs the show on the itel A58.
For optics, the itel A58 has a dual main camera setup at the back that includes a 5MP lens and an AI depth sensor. There’s also a single LED flash at the back too.
We also have a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAH battery that itel says can last up to 10 days on light use. A 5v 1A charging brick is included in the box.
Other features the itel A58 comes with is a rear fingerprint sensor, face unlock and support for dual 3G Sim cards.
