Infinix Note 12 series is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone lineup in the country. The series succeeds the Infinix Note 11 series from late last year. Infinix 12 series will come in three models: the regular Note 12, the Note 12 VIP and the Note 12(G96).
Here’s a mini-breakdown.
All of them will ship with a 6.7″ FHD+ AMOLED screens. The regular and Note 12(G96) will have a 90Hz refresh rate screen while the VIP version will have a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate screen.
Infinix went all-in with the VIP version as the screen is a 10-bit panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
The regular Infinix Note 12 will run on Helio G88 while the VIP and Note 12(G96} will run on and you guessed right – the Helio G96 chipset.
There are tiny tweaks Infinix added as the processor on the VIP version has 9 layers of graphene cooling and a vapour chamber while the G96 version lacks the vapour chamber and has 10 layers of graphene cooling.
For optics, the regular Note 12 and the G96 version ship with a 50MP triple camera setup that includes a 2MP depth sensor and an additional VGA camera.
The VIP version has the 108MP triple setup accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth camera and Laser Detection Auto Focus.
All of them will ship with a 16MP selfie camera.
All versions run on Android 12 and XOS 10.6 and will have 8GB of RAM and 5GB of virtual RAM.
The regular Note 12 and the G96 version come with a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The VIP version will have a 4500mAh battery and support for 120W HyperCharge.
Infinix says that you can charge from empty to full in 17 minutes. The company added 103 protection features to ensure safe charging. These features are on the charging brick and in the phone that has 18 temperature sensors.
The phones will be thin with the regular Note 12 and the G96 version sitting at 7.8mm thick while the VIP version sits at 7.89mm thick.
Other features include a dual X-axis linear motor for better haptics for the VIP version. All of them sport dual speakers with DTS Audio.
The Note 12 series is rumoured to launch later this month in the country.
