The recently launched TECNO Camon 20 series succeeds the Camon 19 series from last year. But should you really upgrade?
We put the TECNO Camon 20 Premier 5G[Full Review] against the TECNO Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition[Full Review].
One huge reason to get the new Camon 20 Premier is the improvements TECNO has made with the new series.
Camon 20 Premier comes with a new 50MP primary lens with sensor shift stabilization, a 108MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor.
We also have a 32MP selfie camera.
On the other hand, the Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition has a 64MP main and a 50MP portrait camera and a 2MP bokeh lens.
Camon 20 takes relatively better photos and videos. Recording is capped at 4K and 2K for both back and front respectively.
The predecessor is capped at 2K for both front and back.
Camon 20 packs heavy. It ships with Dimensity 8050 paired with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Camon 19 Pro comes with Helio G96 processors with 13GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
Camon 20 handles tasks way better especially if you are a heavy multitasker and play graphics intense games.
Camon 20 Premier comes with the newer Android 13 and HiOS 13 while Camon 19 Pro has Android 12 and HiOS 8.6. It recently got updated to Android 13.
Both phones come with 5000mah batteries but the Camon 20 Premier supports 45W fast charging while the Camon 19 Pro supports 33W fast charging.
Camon 20 Premier charges in under an hour to full while Camon 19 Pro takes an hour and a half to get to 100%.
Camon 20 Premier comes with a lychee-pattern leather design that uses TECNO’s new Magic Skin technology which feels more premium to the hand. The back finish is waterproof, heat and cold resistant, stain and abrasion resistant.
Camon 20 Premier comes with a better and brighter AMOLED screen while the Camon 19 Pro uses an LCD screen. AMOLED Screens are way better when it comes to consuming multimedia content.
We also have a stereo speaker on the Camon 20 Premier that gives it and edge as well. Camon 20 Premier also has an under display fingerprint sensor while the Camon 19 Pro has a side mounted fingerprint reader.
