LinkedIn is working on a premium subscription service that will include an AI tool able to produce written content for subscribers. Admin to pages eligible for the new subscription report cost is currently placed at $99.99/month per page or $839.88/annual per page. On its website, LinkedIn has written, “Optimize your content with AI-powered post writing assistance to save time and engage more clients with your posts. Enhance your notes and ideas to create a first draft of posts,”
Another new service that is likely to draw attention is the feature to Auto-invite engaged members to follow your Page. Currently, free pages limit who you can reach. By paying for the upgrade to a Premium Company Page one can unlock the ability to automatically invite anyone who engages with your content to follow your Page.
This new premium service will be available to all eligible to subscribe by June of this year. In total, there are 6 new features introduced. App observers are suggesting LinkedIn may boost premium subscribers reach as has been the case on X.
The professional networking platform has been working on different ways to boost its revenue. Microsoft is the parent company of the social media platform with over 900 million active users. In 2022, the annual revenue of LinkedIn was $14.5 billion. Last year, LinkedIn announced that Premium user subscriptions grew 25% year-on-year to $1.7 billion in 2023.
In March, the company confirmed its adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations. These revenue diversification efforts come after LinkedIn had two lay off rounds in 2023. The company ended the year having cut its workforce by 3%.
