OPPO Reno12 series has now been unveiled and the company has revamped everything in its midrange Reno lineup.
The company opted for a more competitive design and upgrades across the OPPO Reno12 series that now feature a quad-curved display that is to say the phone has curved sides including top and bottom sides which makes the phone more exciting. The phone is also thinner and weighs even less than the Reno11 series at 7.25mm thicker and at 179g.
To protect the Reno12 series, OPPO has added Gorilla Glass protection to the screen. The midframe also has die-cast aluminium alloy for protection when the phone falls. The lineup also has IP65 ingress protection and the screen can be used even when wet.
OPPO Reno12 has a 6.7-inch OLED screen rocking 1080 by 2412 pixel resolution with 120Hz refresh rate.
Powering the phone is a 5000mAh battery and 80W fast charging.

For photography, the Pro sports a 50MP main camera( IMX890 sensor) with OIS, a 50MP telephoto(2X optical zoom) and an 8MP ultrawide. For selfies, we get a 50MP front-facing camera. The base model also has the same setup but a different 50MP primary camera(LYT600) with OIS support.

At the helm of the base model is the new Dimensity 8250 chipset while the Pro has the Dimensity 9200+ processor. RAM and storage options start at 12/256 to 16/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM for both phones.
The phones run on Android 14 and ColorOS 14 with AI.

The Reno12 series features new colours – Ebony Black, Millennium Silver and Soft Peach for the base and Champagne Gold, Silver Fantasy Purple and Ebony Black for the Pro.
The two sport optical in-display fingerprint reader, IR blaster and NFC. only the Pro has stereo speakers.
Pricing starts at $375 for the base and $470 for the Pro in China. When they launch in the country in a few months, the cost will probably be on the higher end as we have seen with the Reno11 and Reno11 Pro.
