Samsung Electronics East Africa has now launched the 2024 Neo QLED TV lineup in Kenya. Like its previous lineups, the new series is packed with Samsung’s own OLED technology meant to give users the ideal picture quality. However, the new lineup is set to offer a whole new set of features powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
The 2024 Neo QLED TVs will come in both 4K and 8K options. The 4K variants feature Pantone Validated display, designed to offer colour accuracy as well as Dolby Atmos for immersive audio experience.
According to Samsung, the lineup also introduces the world’s first glare-free OLED TV, providing deep blacks and clear images even under bright lightning.
One thing that is fascinating about the 2024 lineup is AI, which is designed to offer automatic adjustment when it comes to picture and sound quality to give users the ideal experience. This includes auto modes like game mode and movie mode that are activated by AI once the content pops up. So if you’re playing a video game, for instance, the AI automatically adjusts the display and sound quality to suit the kind of title you’re playing for an immersive experience.
This is all thanks to the new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor that Samsung states is its most advanced chipset yet. The processor packs 512 neural networks, enabling it to adjust scene-by-scene, enhancing brightness, contrast, motion, sound and resolution.
The Neo 8K QN800D model is now available in 65,75 and 85-inch options while the 4K offers sizes from 55 to 98 inches.
Speaking at the official launch event in Nairobi, Rahul Kohchar, Business Head, Consumer Electronics Division, Samsung Electronics East Africa said that the company is pushing the boundaries of home entertainment by integrating AI to enhance traditional viewing experiences.
All models are now up for pre-order at select stores.
