Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has today added to its portfolio in the Kenyan market with the launch of the Vivo V40 Lite, a brand new mid-range smartphone that’s part of the V40 series that launched several weeks ago.
As the name suggests, the Vivo V40 Lite is designed to be a more affordable option to the Vivo V40 but also offers an impressive list of specs to compel customers.
Among the features is a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz maximum refresh rate to give you a smooth user experience when it comes to scrolling your daily apps and playing games. The experience is also made possible by the phone’s Snapdragon 685 processor paired with 8GB RAM that is also expandable. You get up to 256GB of internal UFS storage space for your file storage.
The phone is generally slim with a 7.7mm gloss metallic frame that also features IP64 dust and water resistance which means you don’t have to worry as much about accidental falls in shallow water.
As for the cameras, the V40 Lite packs a triple-lens module with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The manufacturer has also packed the phone with various AI-powered photography features to make the whole capturing experience easier and more fun for users. This includes features like AI Erase and AI Photo Enhancement.
The phone’s standout feature has to be the 5000mAh battery, which comes equipped with 80W FlashCharge capability, which guarantees fast charging before you go out. According to Vivo, the device also features a 4-year battery health.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the latest addition to our lineup, vivo V40 Lite. This device encapsulates stylish and premium design, dependable performance, and advanced AI-enhanced imaging—all within a sleek package. The introduction of this new model reaffirms our dedication to pushing the boundaries of mobile technology to satisfy and surpass the expectations of our valued users,” said James Irungu, the brand and communications manager at Vivo.
The Vvio V40 Lite is now available at all brand stores countrywide and on Jumia at a retail price of KES 36,999.
