The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand has announced the implementation of a new online e-Visa platform, effective January 1, 2025. This new platform will enable eligible applicants to submit their visa applications electronically.
Going forward, applicants are advised to submit their application exclusively through the new online e-Visa platform. In-person submission of passports and supporting documents is no longer required for Thai e-Visa applicants. These new guidelines apply to all Thai embassies globally.
In a statement, the Nairobi embassy emphasizes that, “Visa application will no longer be accepted in person at the Embassies / Consulates-General, including the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi.”
Once your e-Visa is approved, you will receive a confirmation email that you should print and present to airlines and Thai immigration officials upon arrival in Thailand.

Take note: applications for the e-Visa are restricted to those who are not currently in Thailand.
