Facebook Messenger

At the F8 Facebook Developer Conference back in March, Facebook opened up its Messenger application to developers effectively making it a platform. Since then we have seen developers introduce emojis, GIFs and the likes. Games may be next.

Facebook is said to be in private talks with developers to bring games to the Messenger platform even though there’s no specific timeline given as to when we’ll see that happen.

Facebook is currently testing money transfer on Messenger with users in the United States and is expected to extend the service to other countries going forward. Games are sticky and addictive and will keep users on Messenger for longer. Or so Facebook bets.
