Facebook’s F8 conference is the company sponsored event that is intended for developers who are vested in the Facebook ecosystem. The company usually introduces new products during this conference and this year’s event which is slated to be held tomorrow is not different. There are three products that will be highlighted on the conference: Instant Articles, Live Video and Chatbots.

In the case for ecommerce tools for Messenger, According to the Wall Street Journal, insiders informed the publication that Facebook will introduce ChatBots in Messenger. Apparently these “chatbots will help people order goods or services within Messenger. This is not surprising since it was leaked earlier that they had sent a Chat SDK to developers which will enable them create these bots for Messenger. We have also seen an example of these chatbots in play like the KLM Messenger bot that will enable you to book your ticket and even a boarding pass for your flight.

The second item Facebook is expected to mention is about Live Video. As you know, Facebook has been pushing Live Video hard the past half year and they are not slowing down. Apparently they are expected to reveal more about this service.

Lastly, Facebook will officially launch Instant Articles to all publishers tomorrow in this conference. Currently, the service has been rolled out in some countries and regions and the decision by Facebook to pull the switch to all publishers will usher in the era of fast loading articles. This comes after Google quickly released Accelerated Mobile Pages on February this year.

This will be an important event for Facebook as it continues to establish itself as a news and ecommerce hub for its vast user base. You can sign up to watch the F8 conference here.
