As part of their eighteenth-anniversary celebration, Safaricom has launched a promotion that will see the company reimburse all the mobile data used by their customers as from Friday 23 November to the end of Saturday 24 November.

The promotion, dubbed “Asante Data Sunday”, will see subscribers get a refund of their mobile data used over the two days as bonus data on Sunday, valid until 11:59 pm. The promotion is also a double-edged sword that will most likely see an increase in mobile data usage over the weekend, in anticipation for the bonus data.

For those with existing data bundles, the bonus data will be consumed first. As from tomorrow, dialling *444*20# will give subscribers access to their accumulated data usage and also check their bonus data bundle balance over the period of the promotion. The promotion is open to all Safaricom subscribers including PrePaid, postpaid and Hybrid customers.

“This promotion is part of our 18-year anniversary ‘Nawe Kila Wakati’ campaign and is designed to thank our customers for their trust and loyalty over the years. We remain mindful that the success we have achieved in building a world-class mobile broadband network has only been possible due to the immense trust of more than 17 million customers who use our data network every month,” said Charles Kare, Director – Consumer Business, Safaricom.
