WhatsApp Beta(2.19.177) finally updated the ability to view videos in the picture-in-picture mode for video to now include WhatsApp media. You’ll be able to resume texting while you view videos within chats and group chats without disruption.
According to WABetaInfo, You will see the name of the recipient to which you’re sending the video too to avoid sending media to the unintended person.
This mode will also let users play video in the background even if they switch between chats within the app.
This is an exciting prospect if it ever goes live with the official app which is also getting Status Ads starting next year.
