OPPO Reno 5 4G is the smartphone that will probably land here in Kenya in the coming months to succeed the OPPO Reno 4.

OPPO Reno 5 4G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor which also powers the OPPO Reno 4. You get the same 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
OPPO Reno 5 4G also ships with the same 6.4 AMOLED screen as its predecessor but with a 90Hz refresh rate plus a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
Optics get upgraded too. We get a 44MP punch-hole selfie camera while the main camera is a 64MP wide camera, 8MP super wide camera, 2MP monochrome and 2MP macro camera.

In terms of camera features, we get Live HDR and Super Night mode and split-screen view to dual exposure.
OPPO Reno 5 4G comes with Android 11 and ColorOS 11 straight out of the box.
Keeping the lights on is a 4300mAh battery which is bigger than OPPO Reno 4 which has 4015mAh battery.
OPPO also included 50W fast wired USB-C charging – an upgrade from 30W.
And while other smartphone brands have dropped having chargers in their boxes, the OPPO Reno 5 4G has the same 65W charger its 5G siblings ship with.
The same charger als supports power delivery, so you can charge other devices.
Oh, we also get a headphone jack, dual SIM support with additional slot for external microSD card, and Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and LDAC.
Going from empty to full charge will take 48 minutes. 5 minute charge will get 3 hours of use.
In terms of pricing, the OPPO Reno 5 4G will cost around Ksh 37,500.
