Vivo takes a lot of pride in being first in terms of smartphone innovation with regards to hardware.
vivo also now wants to stay ahead of the game in terms of software.
vivo V20 was the first device to launch with Android 11 out of the box a few hours ahead of Google’s Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G launch late last year.
Google and OnePlus devices are the devices that launch with the latest Android version later in the year.
Locally, vivo was the first company to launch a new device with Android 11 already baked in – vivo V20 was launched in early January in Kenya.
