Huawei Y7a To Soon Launch in Kenya

Huawei will soon be launching Huawei Y7a, the latest smartphone in Kenya in the Y series.

Huawei Y7a will be joining its other siblings in the Y series including the Huawei Y5p, Huawei Y6p, Huawei Y7p, Huawei Y8p and Huawei Y9a.

Huawei Y7a will feature a 6.67″ Full HD+ LCD screen with a punch hole cutout at the middle that accomodates the 8MP selfie camera.

Kirin 710 a will be running the show coupled with 4GB of storage and 128GB of onboard storage which you can expand with an external microSD card.

You Can Actually Live on an Android Smartphone Lacking Google’s Apps and Services. Here’s How I Did It:

Like its siblings launched this year, Google’s apps and services are lacking. You, however, get EMUI 10.1, Android 10 and Huawei’s AppGallery.

For optics, we get a 48MP quad camera setup at the back that also includes an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots.

Huawei Y7a ships with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the power button, a headphone jack and a USB-C charging port.

HUAWEI SuperCharge has always been available in Huawei’s high-end models. With HUAWEI SuperCharge, your phone battery can be fully charged in around an hour – something mid-range models have missed out on.

Huawei Y7a comes with a huge 5000mAh battery and will support 22.5W fast charging.

Huawei Y7a is the second mid-range device to come with super-fast charging after the Huawei Y9a that was released in late 2020.

Speaking of the soon to be launched smartphone in the market, Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head, Jim Zhujie said “This time around, Huawei brings its HUAWEI SuperCharge tech to mid-range models so that HUAWEI Y7a users won’t miss out on the perks of super-fast charging. The higher demand for a longer battery life calls higher charging efficiencies as well.”

“Alongside super-fast charging, the HUAWEI Y7a also comes with a large battery capacity to accommodate heavy phone use. With smartphones integrated into most aspects of our lives, from commuting, travelling to business trips – our smartphones almost never leave our fingertips. We always find a way to entertain ourselves with gaming, watching movies, scrolling news feeds and more. That’s why the HUAWEI Y7a’s super-fast charging and large battery capacity is more than necessary to ensure battery life can last long for our convenience and fun.” He concluded.

Huawei Y7a will come in various colours including Blush Gold, Crush Green and Midnight Black.

We expect it to cost around Ksh 19,000 when it launches locally in early February.
