Safaricom has partnered with TerraPay (Mobex Kenya) to facilitate mobile transfer between Kenya, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
This partnership will empower more than 32 million M-PESA customers to send and receive money to and from over 200 million people across Pakistan and Bangladesh.
M-PESA customers can now send and receive money to Bangladesh and Pakistan via the M-PESA Global Service in the M-PESA super App or by dialing *344# and selecting M-PESA Global under the “Send Money” option.

This partnership sees TerraPay join a roster of more than 35 partners under the M-PESA Global service. The service has M-PESA customers in the country to transact in over 170 countries across the globe.

More than Kshs 418 Billion in over 31.8 million transactions was transacted by more 917,000 customers M-PESA Global service in Safaricom’s last financial year to March 2023. This representing more than 90% of all remittances into the country.
