TECNO is going all in with foldables – be it the book-style format with the Phantom V Fold or clamshell-style with the Phantom V Flip or Phantom V Yoga – they’re still contemplating the name.
The Phantom V Flip will have an inner display but lack a cover screen. The main display is a 6.75-inch OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate.
The top back will have a circular camera island sporting a 64MP dual camera setup while the selfie camera will be a 32MP front-facing camera.
The TECNO Phantom V Flip will come powered by a Dimensity 8050 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM – 8GB onboard and 8GB Virtual RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 512 GB.
It will have a 4000mAH battery with support for 45W charging.
The Phantom V Flip will be competing against the OPPO Find N2 Flip and Samsung Z Flip5 in the country.
It is planned to be released later this year.
In my review of the Phantom V Fold, I called it a success as a first-gen product and we expect the same qualities with the Phantom V Flip such as flagship design, flagship performance, quality cameras, fast charging, and a long-lasting battery.
