Samsung will reveal the Galaxy S26 lineup on February 25 at 10am PT (9pm local time) during its Unpacked event in San Francisco. The presentation will stream live on YouTube, with new phones, potentially some wearables and earbuds, and Galaxy AI features taking center stage.
The company is running a reservation program that costs nothing to join but offers perks if you eventually buy. Drop your email on Samsung’s website or app, and you’ll get a $30 credit when you complete a preorder.
The credit only works on accessories like cases, earbuds, or chargers, but it won’t reduce the phone’s price. You’ll also be entered to win a $5,000 Samsung.com gift card, regardless of whether you buy anything.
Trade-ins are where the real savings live. Samsung is offering up to $900 (~ KES 116,000) for your old phone when you preorder an S26, which beats their current $700 maximum for an S24 Ultra.
Your device needs to be in decent shape with only normal wear and tear to qualify. The company also mentions potential discounts of up to $150 on the S26 series itself, even without a trade-in, though details on that are still unclear.
As for the phones themselves, we can expect the latest Snapdragon processor (though these might be for US models only), faster wireless charging, and a “Privacy Display” feature on the S26 Ultra that can hide your screen from people looking over your shoulder.
Reports suggest Samsung had to scale back some planned upgrades due to pricing concerns. The three models (Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra) should cost about the same as last year’s phones and will likely ship sometime in March.
The reservation program requires no payment or commitment. If you’re even remotely interested in Samsung’s new phones, registering now locks in the perks without any risk.
