WSO2Con Africa 2026 wrapped up in Nairobi as the company’s biggest edition of the conference to date, capping a three-day run at the JW Marriott Hotel that brought together enterprise technology leaders, developers, architects, and policymakers from across the continent and beyond.
The event marked the first time WSO2 staged its flagship conference on African soil, and it took place from September 22 to 24 in Westlands, Nairobi.
Built around the theme “Building the Agentic Enterprise,” the program covered AI agents, APIs, integration, identity and platform engineering, mixing hands-on technical labs, keynote sessions, customer case studies and executive panels.

The conference opened with a technical lab day before moving into its main keynote and track program over the following two days.
Kenya’s government had a visible presence on the agenda, with the Principal Secretary at the State Department of ICT and the Digital Economy among the featured speakers, underscoring how closely the company has tied its African expansion to public sector digitization efforts.
WSO2’s product leadership also took the stage, with Selvaratnam Uthaiyashankar, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Dr. Rania Khalaf, Chief AI Officer, and Asanka Abeysinghe, CTO, walking attendees through the company’s roadmap.
The Nairobi edition builds on WSO2’s steady push into the region, following the opening of its first African office in Johannesburg.
Turning a single market push into a flagship conference of this scale signals how much weight the company now places on African enterprise demand, especially around banking, telecom, and government modernization, sectors where local players like KCB and M-Pesa have already featured in WSO2’s case studies.
With Nairobi behind it, WSO2 has already set its next major stop as it returns to Europe in Madrid, running April 22 to 27, 2027.
