Nicholle Myles, the Business Development Director at CIO East Africa said that in line with making the event truly regional, the event will now be hosted in Kigali Rwanda contrary to the usual venue, Nairobi where it has been hosted for the last 3 years. Nicholle says Rwanda is the hot ICT country of the moment and added that the Rwanda Development Board which is a Government Agency with the role of ICT development in Rwanda will be a co-host for the event.
Other developments in the event will be the splitting of categories to Government, Enterprise and SMEs as a response to feedback received from partners and attendees.
These changes also mean that the CIO100 registration for the other countries showing interest will be extended to 2nd April 2013 and the main event on May 15-17th.
