GIFs are one of the best ways to show an expression that will normally have little impact with a static image. This is why it has become incorporated over time and added on major social networks like Facebook and Twitter, by emailing services like Gmail and Yahoo and by chatting platforms like Facebook Messenger and Telegram.

Tinder is the latest social platform to incorporate GIFs into its platform. This is currently on the App Store change log where they term them as “the perfect way to start a conversation and fun while messaging”

It is rather easy to send GIFs on Tinder where you just tap the GIF button where a list of trending GIFs powered by Giphy will be generated so that you can send it to your matches. This is akin to the Giphy-Facebook integration where you need to install the Giphy for Messenger so as to send gifs to someone.

This is not the only new change on Tinder. You can now update your profile photo straight from your gallery unlike the previous system that relied on Facebook. Also, you can like messages by tapping a heart next to the message where the recipient will get a notification of the liked message. 3D touch support is now included in the package as well as larger emojis so that you can express yourself in a bigger way.

The huge update was rolled out for iOS and the company might roll it out to Android later on. This will definitely make matching fun for the estimated 50 million users that are currently on Tinder
