The TECNO Camon CX was launched in towards the end of March and it was a device that grew on us especially with its aluminum unibody design, more than decent photography prowess and attractive price tag.
A few months later, TECNO have released a limited edition of the Camon CX to celebrate the company’s partnership with Manchester City. If you live under a rock, TECNO is the official mobile partner of Europe’s Manchester City football club.
The Camon CX Manchester City Edition shares a lot with the standard CX aside from the attractive color, significantly more RAM and storage, Manchester City logo and consequently, a higher price tag.

As you can see, the RAM and storage were doubled up from 2GB to 4GB and from 32GB to 64GB respectively. The price also went up from Ksh.19,000 to Ksh.31,000, a very significant price bumb that can be justified by the increase in specs.

Onto the design, the CX Manchester City edition has a laser-etched Manchester City crest on the lower back and it comes with a branded selfie stick, water bottle and bluetooth speaker in the box. No jersey?
Sofware-wise, there’s slight variation from the original Camon CX as the limited City edition comes with a Manchester City theme to go with the name.
TECNO only made 5000 units of the Camon CX Manchester City limited edition and the device is on sale in different markets including Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Kenya,Tanzania, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Cameroon.
