The Infinix Note 5 spells a new direction for the Chinese company, more so because they have equipped the device with quite some “2018” features such as the 18:9 display and more importantly, Android One, which means for the first time in a Note series, we get an adulterated software experience.
The software on the Infinix Note 5 is better than what you would otherwise get with XOS. There are no unnecessary apps pre-installed aside from the CarlCare app, X-Club app and a device management app known as Phone Master, all of which you can uninstall.
Despite being on Android One, it is only recently that I got the May security patch, mind you, the device was launched towards the end of June.
On the hardware side, we get:
- 6.0-inch Full HD Display
- MediaTek Helio P23 Procesor
- 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage
- 4500mAh battery with fast charging support
- 12MP main camera and a 16MP selfie shooter
