StarTimes Launches Video Streaming App For Mobile

StarTimes has has launched StarTimes ON, a new online video streaming service that is a new brand for the pay television company.

According to the company, StarTimes On will be dedicated to providing entertainment and enabling subscribers to access the pay television company’s channels on the go.

There are over 150 channels in over 10 languages available on the StarTimes ON platform. Some of the premium international channels available on this platform include Fox News, BBC World News, France 24, Bloomberg, AMC Movies, National Geographic, Passions TV, Baby TV and among others.

StarTimes On will also let you access over 40 StarTimes owed channels like ST Novela Plus, ST Nollywood Plus, ST Dadin Kowa, ST World Football, ST Sport Premium and among others.

Subscribers will also access live, replays and key highlights of premium content like sports at their convenience of multiple sport tournaments like the French Ligue 1, Bundesliga, UEFA Europa League. You’ll also be able to catch up to basketball, boxing, rugby and cricket matches.

“More excellent international and local channels will be online and diverse and rich content will be the core of the StarTimes ON service,” StarTimes Marketing and PR Director, Japhtet Akhulia said.

Interesting enough, the app will feature content in Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD) and also surprisingly Ultra High Definition (UHD) which is great! Subscribers will access the app for free except for the sports content which you can subscribe either Kshs 30 daily, Kshs 120 weekly or Kshs 240 monthly.

The app is now available on Apple’s App Store as well as Google Play.
