Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 7 in January this year and it had a lot of features for the price which includes a 48MP camera. This was the first Xiaomi smartphone released under the Redmi sub-brand and it is a very interesting device.
If you were interested in this phone and you live in Kenya, there is good news. Xiaomi will bring the Red mi Note 7 to Kenya in a few days.
For those that are not upto par with the Redmi Note 7 specifications, here are some of them.
It features a 6.3 inch full HD+ display (2340 x 1080) with a ‘water-drop’ notch that is covered by Gorilla Glass. It runs on the Snapdragon 660 system on a chip that features an octa core processor and Adreno 512 GPU.
It comes with either 3,4 or 6GB of RAM with either 32 or 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. It has two dual primary cameras (48MP main camera + 5MP depth camera and a 13MP selfie camera.
The phone ships with a 4000 mAh battery which is a move that I absolutely love. Other features include a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, fast charging and a USB-Type C port.
The best thing about the phone is the price. The phone retails for $147 in China which is for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage is a bit higher at $177 and the 6GB RAM/64GB variant goes for $206.
In Kenya, Xiaomi Kenya says that it will retail for around Kshs 18,000 which means we might be getting the 3GB RAM/32GB variant first.
