Instagram has been rolling out new features in the past few months with new ones being tested. We’ve seen the platform test features like account memorialization, testing a new upload to IGTV button for livestreams after they’ve ended, bringing DMs to the web among others.
Instagram announced that they are rolling out new features to make the giant photo and video sharing social network more positive.
Delete Comments in bulk
You will now be able o delete up to 25 comments with one click. This will come in handy for large public accounts or personal accounts who usually have trolls and self-promoters commenting on their posts. You will also be able to block and restrict multiple accounts too.
Control over who tags or mentions you
Instagram is also letting people control who tags or mentions them in a post.
The options range from everyone, only people you follow or going the extreme and selecting that no one tags or mentions you in an Insta Story, caption or comment
These features are available in the privacy settings page.
This new feature will help manage unwanted interactions on the platform.
Pinned Comments
You’ll soon be able to pin comments to the top of a post – it’s not just one, you can be able to pin multiple comments.
Instagram accounts will now be able to bring attention to positive conversations.
These new features are meant to keep Instagram safe by keeping off trolls and bullies and promote positivity.
