Android 12 went live early this month and smartphone manufacturers are ramping up their efforts by launching their respective Android 12 based user interfaces.
TECNO has just announced its Android 12-based HiOS 8.5 will soon start rolling out to its flagship Phantom X and midrange Camon 17 series.

This is big news for the brand which isn’t usually this quick with Android upgrades. TECNO says that users should expect the upgrade by the end of this year.
According to the company, HiOS 8.5 will feature a redesigned look and it will be more responsive offering unified themes across apps and even devices.
Za-Hooc security, TECNO’s in-house privacy protection system that launched last year will come more optimized and include Android 12 privacy features including Approximate Location sharing.
HiOS 8.5 will also have improved gaming performance.
