X updated terms of service take effect today, November 15th. While terms of service are regularly updated, this particular round should be a concern to all users on X. On its official website, the Elon Musk owned platform, claims that by sharing, uploading, or presenting content via the app, users provide X with a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (including the right to sublicense).
This license allows the social media app to use, copy, reproduce, adapt, modify, process, publish, transmit, display, upload, download, and distribute all user content across any media or distribution channels currently existing or created in the future, for any purpose.

The social media app makes it clear that any additional use of user content by the company, or by other companies, organizations, or individuals, will occur without any compensation being provided to owners of the data. The company regards use of X as fair compensation stating, “the use of the services by you is hereby agreed as being sufficient compensation for the content and grant of rights herein.”
