Even before the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 have settled in the market, Galaxy A7 is confirmed to be real after it passed through China regulator TENAA. The phone is quite on the thin side with a 6.3mm profile. Dimensions on the phone are 150.9 x 75.9 x 6.3mm. It weighs 133 grams and thus thinner than Galaxy Alpha.
Samsung Galaxy A7 hits the phablet dimensions with a 5.5 inch full HD display and a 64 Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip clocked at 1.5GHz Octa core. Internal storage is 16GB backed by a 2GB RAM. On the camera side we have a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, looks like the selfie standard professed on the Galaxy A5 still remains here. We would expect that this be backed with the wide-angle feature and software to compliment it.
Galaxy A7 looks to sit at the top of the Galaxy A range that takes a new design element with metal internals that double up as frame and edges. SIM and microSD slots are on the side accessible via push SIM tray and the battery is unremovable to create that unibody compact feel that as not been consistent with previous Samsung devices. The specific model that passed through TENAA is the China model and an international model is expected to hit the media in the near future too.
Samsung is already selling the Galaxy A5 in China with quite a good price and is expected to start selling it in Kenya quite soon.
