Early this year, WhatsApp had begun testing a way to share your Status to Facebook, Instagram and other apps. Well, the feature has gone live after four months of testing. The new feature has started rolling out to Android users and they can now share their Status directly to Facebook Stories.

The announcement hasn’t been made official by WhatsApp

Here’s how to cross-post your WhatsApp Status to Facebook Stories

When you post a WhatsApp Status, there’s the new option under your Status that lets you “share to Facebook story”.

You can select the Facebook audience for your Stories before finally sharing.

It is worth noting that deleting the Status on WhatsApp won’t automatically delete it on Facebook Stories – you’ll have to head to Facebook to remove it.

WhatsApp Stories boasts of having 500 million daily users and it will be interesting to see how this feature will be used in the long term or get killed off just like Facebook Group Stories feature which is shutting down this Thursday.

WhatsApp is also set to introduce ads to Status this coming year so be ready for that too.

Keep up with everything WhatsApp here.
