WhatsApp is testing a new user interface for its upcoming feature – letting people use the same account on different phones.
WhatsApp is yet to join the likes of Telegram who let people use the same account on multiple devices but the recent test shows that the launch is imminent.
What We Know So Far
When your account is accessed on a non-primary device, you will get a security notification to keep you and your messages secure. This feature will come handy for those who use two devices such as phone and a tablet thus letting you switch your WhatsApp chats seamlessly.
The revamped interface will let users connect to up to for devices and according to WABetaInfo, the feature is still under development.
Linked devices setting will be available when you tap on the three dots:
When you tap on it, you will see the devices linked to your account. You can then choose to log out.
Another features WhatsApp is working on include Advanced Search Mode that will let users search a specific message type.
Hopefully, these features roll out to the public sooner rather than later.
