We have known for some time now that Microsoft had been developing Windows 10 successor, Windows 11.
Windows 10 was launched back in 2015. Its newer replacement goes officially live today.
The American technology giant has also been teasing the operating system for a while now. A copy of the OS was leaked and many users gave it a spin to see what the hype was all about. The results are promising: users are expecting new changes, such as an overhauled UI with a new Start Menu.
Icons appear to have been improved with rounded corners, and the taskbar menu icons are now placed at the mid-section akin to macOS.
On the whole, Microsoft says that the software has been simplified for all kinds of users.
We are looking forward to additional features that will be announced during the online event, such as an improved Windows store and more gaming tools.
The launch is expected to last for less than one hour. This will then give developer more time to shoot their questions and insights later on.
Time
The event will begin at 6 PM Kenyan time.
How to watch
The event will be broadcasted on Microsoft website.
We are also certain that the MS YouTube channel will stream the launch. The same is expected for other leading publications that have a wide reach on YouTube such as CNET that always replicate tech launch events on their channels.
