Twitter Will Now Show Instagram Link Previews

After nine years of missing in action, Twitter will now let you see previews of Instagram links before you click on them.

This feature disappeared in 2012 and both social platforms simply didn’t put the effort to bring it back – Twitter wants you to post photos(including 4K) and videos and Instagram’s wants you to stick to sharing media on its platform too.

But as of this evening – the social networks have joined up to now let users on Twitter see preview cards of Instagram links on the Android and iOS app and the web.

They said it would never happen… Twitter Card previews start rolling out TODAY. 👀

If you want to share your latest Instagram post on the Twitter timeline too, you’re in luck: now when you share a link to an IG post in a Tweet, it’ll show up as a card with a preview of the photo.
