Infinix is set to add to its widely acclaimed Note 40 series with the new Infinix Note 40X 5G that launches internationally on August 5th. With the launch date drawing closer, the tech firm has confirmed the Note 40X price range as well as a number of its key specifications.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G SoC chipset will be powering the Infinix Note 40X alongside 12GB of RAM and 256GB of in-built storage. The phone will also come with a 6.78-inch full display HD+ display. It will house a triple-camera module will house a 108-megapixel main shooter with the selfie camera coming at a meagre 8 megapixels with an LED flashlight.
It will pack a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication and boasts dual speakers with DTS (Digital Theater System) Audio.
From the shared images, the Infinix Note 40X is quite different in terms of design from the traditional Note 40 with a seemingly flat screen design. But we can also tell that a number of the specifications are inspired by the older sibling. The lenses are arranged in a rectangular-shaped camera module similar to the Note 40.
It has a glossy finish and the display has a centrally located hole punch cutout to house the selfie shooter. However, it’s impressive that a phone in its price range will be coming with 12GB RAM which is huge compared to other models.
The phone is set to launch in India first at Rs. 15,000 (approximately KES 23,000). It has not been confirmed if the phone will launch in Kenya but we would expect it to retail at a similar price if it does.
