Infinix might be breaking its long-standing tradition with MediaTek by preparing to launch a smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s recently introduced Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor.
The device, carrying the model number X6878, appeared in Geekbench’s database after previously showing up in European EEC certification documents that revealed nothing substantial.
The Geekbench listing exposes the phone’s internal configuration as per a Gizmochina report. It packs an octa-core processor with one prime core running at 2.71GHz, three performance cores at 2.40GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.80GHz.
Graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 810 GPU. While the listing doesn’t explicitly name the processor, the core configuration and GPU pairing point directly to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which Qualcomm announced in August.
Performance benchmarks show the X6878 scoring 1,232 points in single-core tests and achieving between 2,882 and 3,325 points in multi-core tests depending on the Geekbench version used.
These numbers align with what you’d expect from a mid-range chip that’s essentially a stripped-down version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 itself is remarkably rare in the smartphone market right now. The only other device confirmed to use this processor is the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which launched in August.
This makes the upcoming Infinix phone only the second device globally to adopt this specific chip.
Beyond the processor, the Geekbench listing confirms the phone will ship with 8GB of RAM and run Android 16 straight out of the box. That’s a big deal since Android 16 support at launch suggests this phone won’t arrive until well into December at the earliest, given Android 16’s expected release timeline.
What remains unknown is practically everything else. The phone’s marketing name hasn’t been revealed, though speculation suggests it could debut as either the Infinix Zero 50 or the Note Edge.
There’s no information about screen size, camera specifications, battery capacity, or pricing. The target markets for this device are also unclear, though its appearance in European certification databases suggests at least some international availability beyond China.
We’ll share more updates as soon as we learn more. This news is especially interesting because the only other Snapdragon device the company has released so far is the Infinix XPad GT tablet, which used the older Snapdragon 888 chip for international markets.
