The phone is now available in Kenya but before we delve in, here’s what the TECNO Spark 5 packs.
The TECNO Spark 5 features a 6.6″ display with a resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels just like its siblings. The only differences the punch hole 8MP selfie camera that interrupts the screen at the top left corner.
It’s worth noting that the screen has grown bigger form 6.2″ found in the Spark 3 and the 6.5 found in the Spark 4.
The TECNO Spark 5 also has another variant, the TECNO Spark 5 Air.
Inside the device is a Mediatek’s Helio A22 processor coupled with PowerVR GE8300 GPU. You’ll notice that this is the same processor on the Spark 4 and the Spark 3 of last year.
The same configuration is also seen with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which you can expand via external MicroSD.
For photography, the TECNO Spark 5 features a rectangular bump on the top left rear side of the phone that includes four cameras: a 13 MP (f/1.8) main camera, a 2MP macro sensor, a 2MP depth sensor and a fourth AI lens.
Selfies are taken care of by an 8MP punch hole camera.
Powering the phone is a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging.
TECNO’s back design is alluring and comes in different colour options including Vacation Blue, Misty Grey, and Spark Orange.
Other features worth mentioning is the rear fingerprint sensor, face unlock and yes, a regular microUSB port for charging.
More details will be shared in our first impressions review and full review coming out soon.
