ccHUB’s acquisition of eLimu is geared to transform the digital education platform of the company. They said that eLimu will continue to focus on leveraging cutting edge technology to create interactive and engaging learning content customized to the African context. The acquisition will also enable them to scale these apps beyond Kenya.
“Education is the bedrock of healthy societies. As we continue to contribute to shaping the innovation ecosystem in Africa, accelerating the application of innovation and technology in improving education outcomes will be crucial to driving our overall agenda,” ‘Bosun Tijani, Chief Executive Officer, CcHUB, adds.
Speaking on the acquisition, eLimu Founder, Nivi Sharma, says, “I’m thrilled to see eLimu spread its wings across Africa to make learning fun and engaging for even more children. eLimu will continue to leverage its deep knowledge of the education system to tap into the opportunity to transform learning everywhere.”
eLimu has an existing audience of approximately 500,000 teachers and learners. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, eLimu is one of the many players that has seen massive growth. ccHUB sees this as a ‘significant’ opportunity to digitize the learning experience.
