How to Check KCSE 2022 Results

Today, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is set to release the results of the Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (KCSE) exams taken by 884,263 candidates in 2022. This is exactly one month after the KCPE 2022 results were announced back in December.

The Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu, will announce the results at the KNEC offices.

Last year, a total of 884,263 candidates sat for the exams, out of which 405,962 were male and 420,845 were female.

This marks an increase from the previous years when the number of candidates sitting for the KCSE exams was lower.

The KCSE exam is a crucial examination for high school students in Kenya as it determines their eligibility for university education and also for job opportunities.

Many students, parents, and teachers have been eagerly waiting for this announcement, as it holds great significance in their future. The release of the results is a very important event in the education sector in Kenya, and the KNEC says it will be closely monitoring the process to ensure that it is fair and transparent.

To access the results of the KCSE 2022 exams, there are two options:

  1. sending an SMS to 20076 with the student’s index number or checking the results through the KNEC website. Sending an SMS, which costs KES 25, is a more efficient option as the website may experience heavy traffic and delays. The SMS code is available on all networks in Kenya, including Equitel and Telkom Kenya.
  2. You can check the results via the KNEC website.

Note: these services will be available as soon as the CS is done annoucing the results, so send your SMS/check the online portal after the speeches have been completed.
