Safaricom 5G on Infinix Zero Ultra

Safaricom 5G on Infinix Zero Ultra

After launching 5G in three neighbourhoods in Nairobi, Safaricom is expanding the network to other towns in the country. The telco launched 5G in Thome, Mirema and Kinoo 87 in Nairobi and now some parts of Nakuru and Naivasha have access to 5G.

According to Forum user holycow, 5G is available in Nakuru CBD (behind Westend Mall) and surrounding areas. The 5G network is also available in Naivasha where the matatus branch to town(left if you from Nairobi).

So if you’re a resident in those areas, go check out the network.

We have a dedicated Forum entry where you can add places you’ve spotted with Safaricom’s 5G network or Airtel’s 5G since they’ve also launched 5G but in a testing capacity.

You’ll get a 5G-enabled smartphone to access either network. You can also opt to choose either 4G data bundle or a 5G data bundle.

Kenya currently has nearly 300,000 users and we’ll probably have over half a million by the end of the year.

Safaricom also launched 5G Wi-Fi which uses its 5G network with the package starting at Ksh 3500.b This is for areas that have 5G but are not connected to its Home Fibre network.

Differences Between Safaricom Home Fibre, 4G Wi-Fi and 5G Wi-Fi

In Africa, we have 28 countries out of 54 that can access 5G. Half of the countries have 5G on trial phase while the rest have rolled out 5G commercially.
