Meta has been bringing new features from Instagram stories to WhatsApp Status and the latest one to be ported will make WhatsApp users really happy.
One of the best features of Instagram Stories is the ability to post even longer videos and Meta has shipped this ability to WhatsApp Status. You can now post longer ephemeral videos on WhatsApp as the time limit has been increased from the previous 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
However, this feature comes with a catch.
WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to post longer videos to a limited number of users so not everyone will get this feature. You will also need to update your app to the latest version to post 1 minute videos.

Posting longer videos will solve one of the app’s biggest friction when sharing videos on the message app as in the past you’d have to post short multiple clips within the 30 second limit if the video was longer.
