Infinix Zero 30 5G – Ksh 49,000

Infinix Zero 30 5G is still the company’s best flagship smartphone and comes at a great price. You can read our full review here and a separate camera performance review here.

You get a premium device with a slim profile sporting glass back and front – both protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. To protect against the elements, it has IP53 water and dust resistance. It has stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader and dual microphones.

The display is a 6.78-inch curved vibrant AMOLED screen rocking a 144Hz refresh rate and, a peak brightness of 950 nits. It is powered by a Dimensity 8020 chipset, 21GB of RAM(12GB Onboard and 9GB Virtual) and 256GB of storage. It also comes with Android 13 and XOS 13.1.

It has a 5000mAh battery that supports 68W ultra-fast charging. A quick toss in the charger will have you juice up to 80% in under 30 minutes. For photography, Zero 30 5G has a 108MP primary camera with object image stabilization, a 13 MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. It has a 50MP selfie camera. All the cameras including the front-facing support shooting 4K 60fps video.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G – Ksh 38,499

Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G is now available(our full review) in the Kenyan market and comes with the company’s upgraded All-Round FastCharge 2.0 powered by the inhouse-built Cheetah X1 chip that not only supports Low-temp, Smart and Hyper charging but also the new wireless MagCharge system. 

Other features include:

  • 6.78-inch AMOLED curved(55-degrees) screen protected by Gorilla Glass with FHD+ screen resolution(1080 x 2436 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits peak brightness 
  • 8GB RAM and 8GB virtual RAM

  • Android 14 and XOS 14 and two years of Android Upgrades

Infinix Hot 40 Pro – Ksh 26,499

Announced late last year, the Hot 40 series is the company’s most affordable devices aimed at Gen-Z consumers.

Hot 40 Pro has a 6.78-inch 1080p screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the 32MP selfie camera.

It comes powered by MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage including the additional virtual 8GB RAM thanks to XOS 13. It also has Android 13 straight out of the box.

Infinix Smart 8 – Ksh 13,499

Infinix Smart 8 is the best budget smartphone in this series.

It has a 6.6-inch screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness and HD resolution.

It comes running Android 13 and XOS 13. It is powered by Unisoc T606 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage – you get 4GB virtual RAM as well.

For cameras, the Smart 8 has a 13Mp primary and an 8MP selfie camera with video recording capped ta 1080p.

It has a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W Type-C charging.
