Infinix has launched its latest mid-range smartphone lineup today, dubbed Infinix Zero 40, succeeding the Zero 30 series that was launched late last year. The series features two models which are the 4G and 5G variants, with both being quite similar, other than a few specs that are different. The series is also the company’s latest set of vlogging smartphones made in partnership with GoPro.
The devices sport a 108MP main camera and a 50MP front-facing camera. One of the main selling points from this point is its videography capabilities as it can capture footage by up to 4K.
With OIS+EIS ProStable support, users are also ensured of stable image captures for videos and even photos. Moreover, the ZERO 40 5G specifically has three microphones for precise directional sound capture and noise reduction.
And as they are developed in collaboration with GoPro, the phones allow users to shoot, edit, and share their content seamlessly. Vlog Mode lets users instantly create a vlog by tapping a button and following prompts.
Furthermore, when working with multiple materials, they can choose from templates in the album. Lastly, the one-tap share feature will make it easier for posting on various social media platforms.
They also sport a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass. Users can enjoy up to 144Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits of peak brightness.
The Zero 40 5G packs a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor while the 4G model has a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset. Both come with 12GB of RAM that is extendable to 24GB paired with 512GB of internal storage. They come loaded up with Android 14 from the box.
As for power, they both come with a 5000mAh battery with 45W wired charging. However, the 5G version comes with an extra 20W wireless charging.
The lineup has launched internationally with the 5G model retailing at $399 (approximately KES 51,500) while 4G model sells at $289 (approximately KES 37,000). It is still unclear if or when the series will launch in the Kenyan market yet.
