iHub is scaling new heights with the relocation to its spacious new headquarters in Lavington. This move marks a significant milestone in the organizationβs journey, reflecting its evolution and unwavering commitment to fostering technological innovation across Kenya and the greater African continent. With this new facility, iHub is not only enhancing its physical footprint but also deepening its strategic focus on providing world-class support to entrepreneurs, tech startups, and creative professionals.
The new office, equipped with cutting edge amenities, consists of a media and entertainment Hub aimed at offering specialized advisory services for professionals in the field of film, television and social media. The inclusion of co-working spaces, private booths for calls and modern conference rooms creates a dynamic environment conducive to collaboration and growth.
Additionally, the facility features dedicated venture capital offices for prominent investment firms such as TLcom and Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures. This setup is designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources they need to succeed in a competitive market.
“Weβve gone through different stages of growth, and this move means we are scaling up our work and reaffirming our commitment to Kenya,” said Ojoma Ochai, the Managing Director of CcHub, who also heads iHubβs operations. “This move is part of our strategic focus and reflects our growth phase.” With this new space, iHub aims to create an even more powerful ecosystem for entrepreneurs, enabling them to experiment, innovate, and scale their businesses to new levels.
In line with this expansion, iHub has continued to strengthen its partnerships and collaborations, cementing its role as a leader in Africaβs tech scene. This year, iHub partnered with Safaricom and Spark Accelerator to offer targeted support to startups like Chaptr and Chumz. Additionally, through a partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, iHub and CcHub invested $1.2 million in 36 edtech startups, demonstrating their commitment to driving innovation in Africaβs educational landscape.
iHub is also a key player in the broader pan-African innovation system. Through collaborations with other innovation hubs, such as Nigeriaβs Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), iHub contributes to a collective effort aimed at solving some of Africa’s most pressing challenges through innovation and technology.
As iHub continues to scale and evolve, it remains at the forefront of Africaβs technology and entrepreneurial transformation. The new Nairobi headquarters, alongside its expanding partnerships and investments, positions iHub as an essential player in the next chapter of Africaβs digital revolution, creating pathways for startups to thrive and for young entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into impactful ventures.
Through its efforts, iHub is not just reshaping Kenyan tech landscape, but is also playing a pivotal role in advancing Africaβs broader innovation agenda, empowering the continentβs youth, and creating sustainable pathways for economic growth. This is only the beginning, and iHubβs bold move reflects its dedication to staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing technological world.
