Today is the inauguration of the President elect of the United States, Donald Trump and sure enough all eyes will be on him as he is officiated to take on the job as President.
As usual, there will be tonnes of media coverage on the event, from traditional media (print and video) as well as new media (from the people present at the inauguration, blogs and social networks like Facebook and Twitter). However, if you are the type of person who likes following such content on a livestream instead of watching it on the TV or listening to it on the radio, well thanks to social media, you can follow it live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Twitter is perfect for such kinds of coverage thanks to its propensity to promote live events. The company however has a dedicated video livestream in partnership with PBS where you will be able to watch the live feed as well as see the accompanying tweets about the event. The tweets are tagged with the #Inauguration hashtag which you can also use it on the general timeline.
Facebook may not be as good as Twitter in following such events but they have Live Video platform. You can follow the proceedings on ABC News page, Fox News and on CNN.
YouTube has a robust livestreaming service and although is not as popular as the other platforms, you cannot simply ignore it. You can follow the events on Fox 10 Phoenix page, ABC News and also CBS News. USA network decided to take it a notch higher by providing a 360 degree live video feed for an immersive experience on the inauguration.
