TECNO has brought a special edition of its entry-level device with a design refresh on the TECNO Spark 9 Pro Sport Edition. We first reported the new addition that now joins the regular Spark 9, Spark 9T and the Spark 9 Pro available in the country.
Designworks, a BMW group company reimagined the color, material and finish design of the TECNO Spark 9 Pro Sport Edition. The design company combined Spark’s 9 series design with world-class automobile design and luxurious touches for passionate Gen Z.
The TECNO Spark 9 Pro Sport Edition blue and white colour scheme takes its cue from an icy crystal talisman. TECNO says that the bold and bright blue expresses the elements of metaverse and also presents futurism, while the purity and primitiveness of white appeals to Gen Z consumers who wish to express their refinement and preference for high standards.
The TECNO Spark 9 Pro Sport Edition comes with an unparalleled triangular texture that the company says elevates the phone from a regular high-powered handset to the mobile phone counterpart of a frontier luxury sedan. This same texture brings a sense of identity and confidence that comes with owning a premium car.
The TECNO Spark 9 Pro Sport Edition also has intricate crystal diamond-cut elements that TECNO says creates a subtle sense of luxury that discreetly expresses the younger generations’ desire for opulence.
We’ve reviewed the regular TECNO Spark 9 Pro, including a dedicated camera performance review and even put it against the Redmi Note 11S in our in-depth comparison review.
We speculated that TECNO would add a new processor, a new camera setup or a new artsy colour version as they did with the recently launched TECNO Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition. The tech company went with the latter option.
Other features remain the same – like the Twin Camera design, which features a 50MP triple camera array that includes a 2MP depth sensor and VGA camera.
We also have a 32MP front-facing camera.
