Twitter to Launch New Features Much Faster Under New CEO

New brooms sweep clean. that message is being heard loud and clear on Twitter with the new CEO. Jack Dorsey left last month and Parag Agrawal took the reins. He was the CTO and with the new role, he has started bringing new changes to Twitter.

He recently reshuffled the company’s executive lineup with a focus on Core Tech, Consumer and Revenue – all with a general manager to run each division.

The reorganisation now has Michael Montano, Twitter’s engineering lead and Dantley Davis, the company’s head of design and research leaving at the end of this month.

Twitter now has a different upper rank with Nick Caldwell, Kayvon Beykpour, Bruce Falck and Lindsey Iannucci(VP Operation) at the helm.

We were operating previously in a functional structure where we had a single engineering organization, a single design research organization, and product teams that were matrixed into them. Lindsey is going to help us improve our operational rigor in this new structure to really get us to faster decision making, clearer ownership, increased accountability, improved operations, which will result in faster execution overall and better results,” said Parag in his first public interview at the Barclays technology conference.

Twitter recently acquired Quill, a messaging app with the focus of improving the DMs feature on Twitter.

“The opportunity around DMs is really key – it’s a way you can connect with anyone in the world and expect to hear back from them,” He added regarding this purchase.
